On January 16, the official opening of the sculpture “Meditation Space for the Monk” took placeYoshio Yagiin the hero city of Irpen near the Central House of Culture destroyed by the Russians.

The event was attended by: founder of the association “KrasneChorne” Yuriia Stashkiv, Deputy Mayor Yulia Ustych, Head of the Department of Culture of Irpin City Council Evgenia Antonyuk, representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine and art critic Konstantin Doroshenko.

We hope that the installation of the sculpture will contribute to the enrichment and diversification of the cultural face of the city, visual comfort for the residents and draw attention to the issues of reconstruction and restoration for potential partners.

According to the mayor of the city Oleksandr Markushin: “The project will be a step towards the revival of our city and culture, will attract the attention of the international community to our community, which, despite great sacrifices and destruction, continues to live, cherish its culture, develop, learn itself and the best world practices”.
